On November 2nd, South Central Los Angeles will come alive with the inaugural Strawberry Jams, a groundbreaking event curated by The Rose Crib and Wild Tribe. This collaborative effort, spearheaded by local artist Ism, unites two dynamic artist communities to create a vibrant space for underrepresented talent to shine and foster a high-vibrational creative community.
After performing with both collectives, Ism envisioned Strawberry Jams as a platform for artists across various genres to connect and showcase their talents. Co-curators Ruby Mountain and Normtronics (co-founders of The Rose Crib), alongside Hippie Xage (founder of Wild Tribe), share insights into the event’s origins and its higher purpose.
“When Ism approached us with the idea for Strawberry Jams, we were excited to co-produce this higher-consciousness event and bring The Rose Crib vibe to South Central,” said Ruby Mountain. “We’ve connected with many prolific artists through our events like Beats and Brunch in DTLA, our radio show Sounds of The New Earth on Dash Radio, and our livestream DJ parties at The Rose Crib. Curating a mini-festival in South Central to spotlight these talents alongside Wild Tribe artists just made sense.”
Ism, reflects on the motivation behind the event: “Art is shapeless and formless, and everything is made of frequencies and vibrations. Strawberry Jams is the perfect introduction to building wealth and breaking free from governmental control. I hope attendees leave with their spirits ignited, ready to illuminate their minds and vibrate higher.” Ism envisions introducing participants to the Christ Consciousness mindset through 528Hz frequencies.
Hippie Xage, a rapper, botanist and herbalist, also shares his vision: “I want to be part of something great from the ground up. I believe Strawberry Jams will become a space for all artists, especially those from our hometowns who often get overlooked. This event gives them a place to showcase their art, voice, movement, and purpose in one powerful environment.”
The lineup features a prolific mix of talent, including The Rose Crib artists Asiana, Gen Zie, Vin Atlas, Ruby Mountain, and Ism performing alongside Wild Tribe artists Hippie Reno, Da Angel, Boondock FTA. The DJ will be DJ Omari. Attendees can expect a dynamic blend of Hip Hop, R&B and Dance music all within a supportive, community-centered atmosphere.
The Strawberry Jams curators hope to leave attendees with a powerful message: to ignite a flame of inspiration within and usher in new earth vibrations. It will remind everyone that we are not a minority in the art world—there is so much more to our scenes than meets the eye.
This inaugural event is not a one-time gathering. It serves as a prelude to the larger New EarthFestival hosted by The Rose Crib in 2025.
Join The Rose Crib and Wild Tribe on November 2nd for an unforgettable evening filled with inspiration, community, and artistic expression. Together, they aim to celebrate the richness of local talent and foster unity among artists and attendees alike.
