JULY 2023- COLORADO –
Kenny Kadafi is an artist born in Texas, raised in Kentucky, and currently residing in Colorado. Kenny explains that even though he was moving around, Colorado was the first place he moved to that truly felt like a fresh start. He explains that his dad’s side of the family stays in Texas and his mom’s side is from Kentucky. Kenny established his career based on his stellar experience and passion. He works hard to reach to the top while excelling in his current and future endeavors. Through his professional work, he draws motivation from wanting to make a difference not just in Colorado and Texas, but also in other parts of the nation with his music, and love. Kenny speaks on his endeavors. “Well I recently just released a new single called ‘Pearlz’ which is off of my upcoming debut EP that’s scheduled to drop here soon and it’s available on all streaming platforms. We shot the video down there in Dallas on a weekend, Shoutout to PolarHitz, and you can find that as well on Youtube. I’m also gearing up to push out this highly anticipated album with my brothers, ‘Dame’ And ‘Jmat’. Two extremely talented individuals who’ve been working hard to make a name for themselves. Whenever we clique up creatively or sonically we move under the alias of ‘FoY.’ or ‘Fountain of Youth’. Individually we’re an issue, but I feel like together we’re unstoppable. so i’m just extremely blessed and excited to release this project to the masses, it’s been literally years in the making.”
The artist based out of Colorado aims to make a statement with his current and future projects. Kenny is ambitious, observant, and inquisitive. He has been positively inspiring others to become better, leads by example, and has great precision and consistency as an artist. “The opportunities that I’ve been afforded are inspiring. I consider being able to recognize my growth in this journey thus far as an inspiration. The affirmation I receive not just from friends and supporters, but from complete strangers who don’t know me from a can of paint is also inspiring and something I never take for granted.”
Give Three qualities that describe you:
Definitely Ambitious Just Given The Type Of Career I’m Pursuing. Being born into a musical family, I was raised and surrounded by influential singers and musicians that groomed me to be the artist I am today and continuing to grow as.
Observant, to the point where people often mistake me for being a quiet person.
And Probably Inquisitive just because I love knowledge. All the little fun facts people on average overlook.
What do you have coming up right now that you want others to know about?
This FoY. Album is Finished and on the way, My Debut Ep is Finished and coming soon and you’ll be able to catch FoY. Live at the Roxy Theater this month on the 29th. This is our first big Denver venue so we’ve been putting in the time and effort to really make this special.
Kenny explained that the motivation came from seeing the success of his work and also not giving up. “I have overcome struggles to be where I am now with long days and longer nights. Because the Lord knows I love to sleep. Learning to disassociate was big for me. And also learning to protect my energy. In terms of importance, I think that’s paramount and imperative because you can’t expect to reach new heights doing the same old stuff. I grew up singing in the church so faith and having a relationship with God was one of those things I’ve had to rely on to get me through my lowest points, as well as keeping me grounded during the highs of it all. (Life) ” Kenny explains that this was a major motivation in his life and gives a piece of advice for others to take back. “If it’s one takeaway or piece of advice I could give somebody based on my work, I think it would be that it’s completely cool to be yourself. I think when you’re truthful with others and mostly yourself, not only does that enhance your product and overall production, but I believe it also sets you apart. and I think that’s something to be revered.”
Kenny has successfully worked with many diverse individuals on different goals, and has only satisfied them. He has great skills in collaboration and speaks about some influential people who have been in his life. “My family by far, immediate and extended. All my kinfolk out in Texas and Kentucky push me the way they do, support me the way they do, raise me like they did and most importantly love me the way they do. I would not be the man I am today without the fam.”
