Shariif Maliik Karim Archibald, also known as “Blvck Jupiter'' is a talented songwriter and singer from Basseterre, Saint Kitts, now residing in the Dallas, Texas. Adventurous, curious, optimistic, he stays devoted and works hard on his craft with the music he creates for himself in a diverse way with his melodic voice. Becoming more serious, being dedicated to his work, and proving others wrong remains a goal for Blvck Jupiter and he is on the right track to doing so. “I have a little surprise for my day one fans, it’s been long overdue but as they say ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’. I just the love and enjoyment I get from making music. I’ve had a lot of people tell me that my music is almost radio-ready so that in itself made me realize that I really have a shot at this thing.” Blvck Jupiter is a well-rounded artist who refuses to give up even when things don't go as planned. He wants to keep moving forward and use his music to do good things.
Where are you from?
I was born in Puerto Rico but my entire family is from Saint Kitts and Nevis. That’s where I grew up as well.
How have you overcome struggles to be where you are now?
Motivation from peers and other artists that I listen to. I’ve always been in love with artist documentaries so that as well has kept me pushing. Just seeing some of the greats go from where I am to where they are is definitely motivating for me.
Who were the most influential people in your life?
My dad. I’m blessed to have a father in my life who has taught me many of life’s lessons.
Even though Blvck Jupiter is devoted to perfecting the art of his music to the highest level, his hardships have made him want to do even better in his business. “Never stop believing in yourself. Don’t watch who’s doing what, you are your only competition. You just have to be yourself and put out the content you love. You can’t gain the whole world’s approval so just focus on who’s rocking with you.”
Blvck Jupiter , as some would call him, has a goal to make people want to see more of him, which he has already done in the studio. Putting in the hours of work, commitment, and inspiration both in front of and behind the scenes in the year 2022, he makes a difference in the music business. Blvck Jupiter explains that every project he has is to be of inspiration to others.
